The strange lighthouse card post from the other day..

I should explain that one I guess.. I was editing my cards in Photoshop Elements for the first time. I was having a rough time trying to figure out how to resize the photos. I normally use the software that comes with whatever cheap printer I have at the time. I figured I have had PSE for a few months I may as well learn how to use it right? I am used to seeing pixels.. the PSE showed inches and picas... WHA? What the heck is a picas? evidently a picas is like a pixel but not really ?? anyway.. I pressed a button and pixels showed up! I did as many cards as I could because not knowing what button I pressed I couldn't do it again I am sure! lol So, that card was made last week for my uncles birthday. The recipe is: stamps: Coast to Coast (retired) , It's Your Birthday and Linen background
ink: Creamy Caramel
paper: shimmery Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip
I also used a bookplate and 2 brads from the pewter Hodgepodge Hardware set and brown grograin ribbon. I distressed the edges of the focal point with the SU cutter kit.
TFL!

Fall Winter SU catalog 20 days away!! YAY

I wanted t share a few cards I made using the new sets from the SU catalog preview. I have only done a few so far. I actually did 53 but only 3 different styles! lol I am busy with swaps for SU convention which is actually 43 days away!! YAY

Anyway here are a few cards I did yesterday.. darn.. I keep forgetting they show up at the top of my post.. If anyone can tell me how to fix that I would be very grateful! lol So, I will post the recipes down here in the order the cards show up (I never know how that will be either!)
recipe #1: stamps: Baroque Motifs, Hugs& Wishes
paper: Whisper White, Purely Pomegranate, Wild Wasabi
ink: Purely Poegranate, Wild Wasabi, Basic Brown
flowers are up on dimensionals
recipe #2
I called this card Hungry Hungry Cute Hippo but I Was informed it is a Rhino.. I knew that but for some reason Hippo just was what my mind was calling it! lol
stamps: Zoofari, Holidays & Wishes
ink: Timber Brown stayzon
paper: Kraft, Whiper White, Blue Bayou, Soft Sky designer paper
rhino is colored with watercolor crayons and blended with blender pens, twill ribbon is held on with silver brads. For this particular card I just cut by hand the sentiment tag but I plan on using a Cuttlebug tag die cut on the next.
recipe #3
stamps Baroque Motifs, Holidays &Wishes
ink: River Rock, Purely Pomagranate, Timber Brown Stayzon
paper: Whisper White, River Rock
flower is up on a dimensional and has a brad in the center.

How long has it been,Blog Candy and other stuff

I am a horrible blogger. I always kept journals an did the same thing. If you look through my journals (which I still have) you will see entries at least 2 months apart! Oh well, I never thought I was that interesting anyway! lol
I have been working on my convention swaps lately. I finished the 50 cards I am taking to the SCS dinner ( the "other" dinner that is) . I am very excited about that. All of my roommates are registered for that one too. Anyway, I will be sure to post the card I did soon. I used a new SU set! And the new InColor paper too!
